General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

With the following text, we – the data protection officer and the management of veonis Technologies GmbH – would like to inform you about the type, scope, and purpose of the collection and use of personal data. Personal data is information that can be used to identify a person, i.e. information that can be traced back to a person, such as name, email address, or telephone number. However, data collected by our websites via the browser of your end device (i.e. from you as a website visitor) also count as personal data.

Collection and storage of personal data; type, purpose, and use

If you contact us by telephone or in writing (by email or via a contact form on our website that asks you to enter data) or place an order, the following information is collected:

Title, first name, surname
Address, if applicable
E-mail address
Telephone number (landline and/or mobile)
Bank account data, if applicable

In addition, all information is collected that is necessary for the fulfilment of the contract that may be concluded with you as a potential customer. The collection of personal data takes place

  • in order to be able to identify you as a customer

  • to be able to advise you appropriately;

  • to be able to fulfil our contractual obligations towards you;

  • to comply with our legal obligations;

  • to correspond with you;

  • to issue invoices or, if necessary, as part of the dunning process;

  • for the purposes of admissible direct advertising;

  • to assert any claims against you.

The processing of personal data takes place on the occasion of your enquiry with us and is necessary for the aforementioned purposes for the processing of your order and for the fulfilment of obligations arising from the underlying contract. The personal data collected will be stored until the expiry of the statutory retention obligation for merchants (6, 8, or 10 years after the end of the calendar year in which the contractual relationship was terminated) and then deleted. By way of exception, this does not apply in cases where we are obliged to store data for a longer period due to tax or commercial law retention obligations (according to HGB, StGB or AO) or if you have consented to storage beyond this period.

Disclosure of data to third parties

As a matter of principle, your personal data will not be passed on to third parties. Exceptions to this only apply if this is necessary for the processing of contractual relationships with you. This includes in particular the transfer to service providers commissioned by us (so-called order processors) or other third parties whose activities are necessary for the execution of the contract (e.g. shipping companies or banks). The data passed on may only be used by the third parties for the purposes stated.

Your rights as a data subject

As a person affected by the data processing, you have various rights:
Right of revocation: You may revoke any consent you have given to us at any time. The data processing based on the revoked consent may then no longer be continued in the future.

Right to information: You can request information about your personal data processed by us. This applies in particular to the purposes of the data processing, the categories of personal data, if applicable, the categories of recipients, the storage period, if applicable, the origin of your data as well as, if applicable, the existence of automated decision-making including profiling and, if applicable, meaningful information on its details.

Right of rectification: You can request the correction of incorrect or the completion of your personal data stored by us.

Right to erasure: You may request the erasure of your personal data stored by us, unless its processing is necessary for the exercise of the right to freedom of expression and information, for compliance with a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims.

Right to restriction of processing: You may request the restriction of the processing of your personal data if the accuracy of the data is disputed by you, the processing is unlawful, but you object to its erasure. You also have this right if we no longer need the data but you need it to assert, exercise or defend legal claims. Furthermore, you have this right if you have objected to the processing of your personal data.

Right to data portability: You can request that we transfer your personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, common and machine-readable format. Alternatively, you may request the direct transfer of the personal data you have provided to us to another controller, where this is possible.

Right of complaint: You can complain to the supervisory authority responsible for us, e.g. if you believe that we are processing your personal data in an unlawful manner. The authority responsible for us is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision.

Your right to object: If we process your personal data on the basis of a legitimate interest, you have the right to object to this processing. If you wish to exercise your right to object, a notification in text form is sufficient. You are therefore welcome to write to us or contact us by e-mail.

Data processing online

Certain personal data, including the IP address of website visitors, is also processed via our website at veonis Technologies GmbH.

Access data/ Server log file

Our website (or our web space provider) collects data on every access to the website (so-called server log files). The access data includes:

Name of the website accessed, file, date and time of access, amount of data transferred, notification of successful access, browser type and version, the user's operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited page), IP address and the requesting provider.

We only use the log data for statistical evaluations for the purpose of the operation, security and optimisation of the offer. However, we reserve the right to check the log data retrospectively if there is a justified suspicion of unlawful use on the basis of concrete indications.

Use of Facebook social plugins

Our website uses social plugins ("plugins") of the social network facebook.com, which is operated by Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Facebook"). The plugins are recognisable by one of the Facebook logos (white "f" on a blue tile, the terms "Like", "Like" or a "thumbs up" sign) or are marked with the addition "Facebook Social Plugin". The list and appearance of Facebook social plugins can be viewed here: developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins .

When a user calls up a website of this offer that contains such a plugin, his browser establishes a direct connection with the Facebook servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted by Facebook directly to your browser, which then integrates it into the website. The provider therefore has no influence on the scope of the data that Facebook collects with the help of this plugin and therefore informs users according to its level of knowledge.

By integrating the plugins, Facebook receives the information that a user has called up the corresponding page of the offer. If the user is logged in to Facebook, Facebook can assign the visit to his or her Facebook account. If users interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the Like button or posting a comment, the corresponding information is transmitted directly from their browser to Facebook and stored there. If a user is not a member of Facebook, there is still the possibility that Facebook will find out and store his or her IP address. According to Facebook, only an anonymised IP address is stored in Germany.

The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook, as well as the relevant rights and setting options for protecting the privacy of users, can be found in Facebook's data protection information: www.facebook.com/about/privacy .

If a user is a Facebook member and does not want Facebook to collect data about him or her via this offer and link it to his or her membership data stored on Facebook, he or she must log out of Facebook before visiting the website. Further settings and objections to the use of data for advertising purposes are possible within the Facebook profile settings: www.facebook.com/settings.

Cookies

Cookies are small files that enable specific, device-related information to be stored on the user's access device (PC, smartphone or similar). On the one hand, they serve the user-friendliness of websites and thus the users (e.g. storage of login data). On the other hand, they serve to collect statistical data on website use and to be able to analyse it for the purpose of improving the offer. Users can influence the use of cookies. Most browsers have an option to restrict or completely prevent the storage of cookies. However, it is pointed out that the use and in particular the user comfort will be limited without cookies. You can manage many online ad cookies from companies via the US site www.aboutads.info/choices or the EU site www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about the use of this website by the users is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

In the event that IP anonymisation is activated on this website, however, Google will truncate the user's IP address beforehand within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. IP anonymisation is active on this website. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating the use of the website by users, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator.

The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. Users may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on their browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. Users may also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and relating to their use of the website (including their IP address) by Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

You can prevent the collection of your data by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set, which will prevent the collection of your data during future visits to this website: Deactivate Google Analytics.
